Max’s Story
Max and Boomerang
Max has been volunteering with us for nearly three years. He originally found us by visiting our neighbours at Common Wheel and, after seeing the workshop, couldn’t help but get stuck in (as well us donating old oak flooring from his home)
He also appreciates how amazing the team at Boomerang are: “They are fantastically skilled. I’ve never seen them yet be stuck for a solution for anything that has come through the door”.
Max’s Bread Boards…
Since then, Max has been coming in twice a week to recycle that oak flooring into breadboards, of which he has now made a whopping 94!
Max’s breadboards make a beautiful present or addition to the home, and they last ages. Max had one in the same style for over twenty-five years before replacing the top of it.
Max has also spent time showing our other volunteers the steps to making his amazing bread boards. He likes working with our other volunteers, and can see positive mental impact that Boomerang has on them.
