Large Handcrafted Chopping & Serving Board

A proper workhorse for your kitchen. Each of these wooden chopping boards is built from laminated hardwood - reclaimed timber that's been given a second life in our Glasgow workshop. Solid, weighty, and built to last, the laminated construction means they're stable and strong, ready to handle daily prep work without warping or splitting. Every board shows off the natural grain and character of the wood - whether it's the rich tones of oak, the distinctive stripes of zebrano, or the pale warmth of beech. The hand-finished edges have a gentle, organic wave to them rather than the perfectly square corners you'd get from a machine - it's these details that give each one real character. Beautiful enough to double as a serving board when friends come round, sturdy enough for everyday use as a cutting board. With a bit of care, this is the kind of board that'll be in your kitchen for years. These boards were crafted by Owen, Freya and Tammy at Boomerang Woodworking in Maryhill, Glasgow.

Materials: Reclaimed hardwood (oak, zebrano, beech - see individual variants) Finish: Food-safe mineral oil

Care: Hand wash and dry thoroughly after each use. Re-oil with food-safe mineral oil once a month (or when the wood starts to look dry). Just rub it in, let it soak for a few hours, then wipe off any excess.

Each board is numbered and photographed individually - choose your specific board from the variants below. Wood type and dimensions listed with each variant.

About Boomerang: Every piece from our workshop is made by volunteers and community members at Boomerang Woodworking, a not-for-profit community workshop in Maryhill, Glasgow.
