Tall Reclaimed Oak Lamp | Shou Sugi Ban Table Lamp
Tall Oak Lamp with Burnt Edge
A dramatic lamp with Japanese influence. This tall, tapered piece is crafted from reclaimed oak with a burnt edge created using the traditional Shou Sugi Ban technique - a Japanese method of charring wood to blacken and preserve it. The contrast between the natural oak and the darkened edges creates a striking, sculptural effect. This lamp was designed and made by Alistair, one of our directors. Alistair came to Boomerang in 2013 and started learning the craft of woodwork from scratch. Completely self-taught, he learned by watching others and experimenting in the workshop. He's been with us ever since, developing his own distinctive style - sculptural, creative, and always pushing what can be done with reclaimed wood.
Materials: Reclaimed oak with Shou Sugi Ban finish
Dimensions: 630mm H x 160mm W x 160mm D
